Associate Prof Zainab Mawdoodi
Head of the Mathematics Department
Zainab Mawdoodi is the university lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Calgary.
Her expertise is Mathematical Analysis-pure mathematics , she was the former assistant professor at Kabul University in Afghanistan(2018-2023). Moreover she preserves the following positions in Online University of Afghanistan:
Head of Mathematics Department
Vice dean of the faculty of Sciences and Social Sciences.
The member of trustee board
The vice dean of foreign affairs
She also initiated the math bridge for Afghan women.
She is also passionate about advancing mathematics education and promoting educational opportunities for women and girls.
She has organized numerous mathematical competitions and educational initiatives in mathematics . Since 2018. She authored several mathematical textbooks in Afghanistan.
She initiated the Afghan Student AID foundation with some Afghan scientists to support Afghan students in Iran, and still she works there, she has been the executive manager and the member of the trustee board of that foundation since 2017.

Professors and instructors
Dr. Amjad Salari is a mathematician and researcher specializing in nonlinear analysis and differential equations. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Razi University and previously earned his M.Sc. in Mathematics from Isfahan University of Technology. Since 2025, he has served as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the Women’s Online University in Afghanistan, following several years as a researcher and lecturer at Razi University and a postdoctoral researcher at University of Mazandaran. His main research areas include nonlinear analysis, fractional and partial differential equations, variational methods, impulsive systems, and biomathematics. Dr. Salari has published more than 45 research papers in reputable international journals, with approximately 390 citations and an h-index of 11. His notable scientific contributions focus on fractional differential equations, Kirchhoff-type problems, critical point theory, and applications of mathematical analysis in applied sciences. He has also served as a reviewer for several international mathematical journals and received recognition as a Top Researcher in Iran in 2018 and 2020.

Dr. Samad Mohseni holds a PhD in Mathematics with a specialization in Applied Functional Analysis and has extensive experience teaching mathematics at different academic levels. His research interests include partial differential equations (PDEs), fractional differential equations, variational methods, functional analysis, and mathematical modeling. In recent years, his work has expanded toward developing modern computational approaches that integrate classical analytical techniques with neural-based methods, scientific computing, and machine learning approaches for solving nonlinear systems and boundary value problems. He has authored several publications in international scientific journals, presented his work at specialized conferences, and serves as a reviewer for several international scientific journals. He is currently based in Canada and works as a researcher and instructor.
دکتر صمد محسنی دارای مدرک دکتری ریاضیات با گرایش آنالیز تابعی کاربردی است و سابقه تدریس در دانشگاهها و مراکز آموزشی مختلف را دارد. زمینههای پژوهشی ایشان شامل معادلات دیفرانسیل با مشتقات جزئی (PDE)، معادلات دیفرانسیل کسری، روشهای تغییراتی، آنالیز تابعی و مدلسازی ریاضی است. در سالهای اخیر، پژوهشهای ایشان به سمت توسعه رویکردهای محاسباتی نوین و ترکیب ابزارهای کلاسیک آنالیز ریاضی با روشهای مبتنی بر شبکههای عصبی، محاسبات علمی و روشهای یادگیری ماشین برای حل مسائل مقدار مرزی و سیستمهای غیرخطی گسترش یافته است. ایشان دارای چندین مقاله پژوهشی در مجلات علمی بینالمللی، ارائههای علمی در کنفرانسهای تخصصی و سابقه داوری برای چندین مجله علمی بینالمللی هستند و در حال حاضر به عنوان پژوهشگر و مدرس در کانادا فعالیت میکنند.
Catherine Nazarian, an Afghan national with a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (1997), has extensive experience in higher education and research. She served as a professor in the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Education at Herat University from 2005 to 2024, teaching Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, General Mathematics, and Accounting. She also taught at private universities and teacher-training institutes, conducted professional training programs for teachers, and contributed to academic guidance and research committees. Her research focused on mathematics education, intelligence, depression, and family-related factors affecting student learning, resulting in several publications in national and international journals. In 2022, she founded the Safir Rasa Scientific and Educational Academy, with a special focus on supporting women’s education and development.
I’m Ali Reza Bayat. I was born on 28th October in 1980 in Mashhad (Iran).
I got accepted in math major in the ferdowsi university of Mashhad in 1998.
After graduating from bachelors( B.sc) in math, I tookpart for master of science exam and was accepted in 2003.
I took my degree M.sc in 2006.
Scientific Privilegs:
1) I took bronze medal in math competion in 2002.
2) l took degree 37 in entrance university for M.sc in 2003.
3) Writin guidebook and solving problems of math including analysis of math in 2009.
4) I was accepted in ph.d exam with degree 21 in 2023.
5) Teaching math for more than 24 years in different universities, high schools and institutes in Iran.
An experienced Mathematics Teacher with 30 years of teaching experience in grades ٫ specializing in mathematics instruction, educational planning, student evaluation, and academic data analysis. She also has leadership experience in coordinating mathematics departments, managing educational records, and using tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. With a Master’s degree in Mathematics, along with authorship of educational books and research articles, she is dedicated to improving educational quality and supporting student success.
