Early marriage poses serious risks to young girls’ physical and mental health. Their bodies are often not fully ready for pregnancy, increasing the risk of anemia, complications during childbirth, preterm birth, and maternal mortality. Psychologically, early marriage places heavy responsibilities on girls, disrupts their education, and can contribute to anxiety and depression. Preventing early marriage and promoting girls’ education are essential for safeguarding their health and securing a better future. In this academic discourse, Ms. Marwa Siddiqi will discuss the health risks of early marriage among girls. We warmly invite all students and interested individuals to participate in this program and enhance their knowledge.
