The webinar titled “Best Practices of Online Teaching and Learning, Effectiveness, Challenges, and Obstacles” was held with the aim of familiarizing participants with the best methods and strategies of online teaching and learning, as well as introducing the challenges and obstacles in this field.
Initially, respected Professor Abdul Farid “Salangi,” the chancellor and Founder of Woman Online University, spoke about online education and stated:
Online education provides abundant opportunities for access to knowledge and learning for Afghan girls who are deprived of education. This method enables students to have access to educational content anytime and anywhere, engage flexibly in the learning process, and utilize online resources. All students were encouraged to effectively benefit from this Academic webinar.
Later, esteemed Professor Nazifa “Faqiryar” formally initiated the webinar and discussed the following topics:
– Effective methods in online teaching and learning: This section addressed effective methods in online teaching and learning, including interactive processes, appropriate content design, collaborative and group-based approaches, immediate feedback provision, utilization of innovative technologies and diverse educational tools.
– Multimedia content in online education: The suitability of multimedia content for online education was examined. Content such as videos, charts, images, presentations and slides, webinars and live sessions, educational games, and interactive platforms were introduced as suitable content for online education.
– Challenges and obstacles in online education: Several challenges and obstacles were discussed, including low-quality internet connections, lack of direct interaction with instructors, technical and technological issues, resource and facility limitations, security and privacy concerns, diverse participant reactions to online education, and management-related problems.
Furthermore, an opportunity for participants to ask questions and receive answers was provided, and relevant issues and problems regarding online teaching and learning were discussed.
Finally, respected Professor Adela “Zamani,” the Deputy of Student Affairs at Woman Online University, expressed appreciation for the presentation by Professor “Faqiryar” and discussed online education. She added that one of the advantages of online education is that it allows students to have access to all educational resources, including videos, charts, exercises, and online libraries. Additionally, this method enables individuals to interact with professors and other participants worldwide and share their experiences.

The webinar concluded with a discussion of the best practices of online teaching and learning, their effectiveness, suitable multimedia content for online education, and the challenges and obstacles in this field. Ultimately, participants acquired the best methods and recommendations for online teaching and learning and became familiar with the challenges and obstacles of online education.
