Main Speaker:
The honorable guest of this program, Professor Abdul Zahoor Mudaber, analyzed the topic and stated:
“Spirituality and economic development are two key concepts that have complex interrelationships in the scintific literature. Spirituality can act as a motivational factor that drives individuals towards long-term and sustainable goals, and it can have a positive impact on economic growth. On the other hand, economic development can provide a foundation for improving the quality of life and increasing spiritual opportunities.”
He further added that in different economic systems, economic development indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Gross National Product (GNP), and wealth distribution play a significant role in evaluating economic progress. These indicators allow us to quantitatively measure economic advancements and have more effective planning for the future.
Nevertheless, attention to spirituality in economic development programs is also important because spirituality can be considered as a soft indicator alongside hard economic indicators and contribute to achieving a balance between material growth and spiritual progress. Ultimately, sustainable economic development can only be possible when both material and spiritual criteria are taken into account.
Lastly, Professor Mudaber answered important questions from the guests and students, which were gathered by Ms. Najma Samkani, and academic and specialized responses were provided.
Conclusion and Summary:
In the end, Ms. Adela “Zamani,” the Deputy of Student Affairs at the Woman Online University summarized the discussed topics and expressed gratitude to the participating students, professors, and academic figures in this webinar.
