An academic webinar titled “The Role of Women’s Empowerment in Sustainable Development, with a Focus on Opportunities for women in Afghanistan” was held at the Faculty of Economics of the Woman Online University.
Initially, esteemed Deputy-chancellor of the academic affairs Professor Sohaila “Erfani” expressed gratitude to the Faculty of Economics and discussed some important and key points in this field. Additionally, Professor Javid Ahmad Gulistan, a respected professor at the Faculty of Economics, presented his theories and discussed about the the topic.
Then, Dr. Maryam “Shokohi,” an expert in the field of economic development, discussed the role of women in sustainable development, focusing on the available opportunities in Afghanistan. She examined methods and strategies for empowering women to participate more in economic, political, and social activities.
Furthermore, the participants’ questions were addressed.
Finally, Respected Professor Abdul Farid “Salangi,” the Chancellor and Founder of the Woman Online university , discussed the opportunities and challenges for women in various areas, including education, employment, and the impact of women’s participation in development activities on poverty reduction, social development, and economic growth.
