On Friday, 12,2,1404, an academic webinar titled “Pneumonia” was successfully held with the participation of over 1000 attendees, including the university’s administration, leadership team, professors, students, and both academic and administrative staff.
The program began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Ms. Rakya Habil. Following that, Ms. Malalay Salangi and Ms. Fawzia Estanikzai warmly welcomed all attendees and highlighted the relevance and importance of the webinar’s topic.
Then, Ms. Sohaila Erfani, the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Woman Online University, warmly welcomed the participants and shared valuable insights on the significance of health and well-being. She emphasized that our overall vitality is closely tied to our physical health, noting that when we prioritize our physical well-being, it also enhances our mental and emotional wellness.

Then Dr. Mohammad Akram Baburi, welcomed the participants and delivered a comprehensive presentation on the topic of the webinar, which included the following key points:
• Contributing factors to the onset of pneumonia
• Impairment of host defenses against bacterial infections
• Aspiration of nasopharyngeal or gastric secretions
• Pathology of congestion
• Red hepatization
He explained that respiratory infections can be caused by different factors and usually involve inflammation in the lungs. These infections are often the result of bacteria or viruses and can affect various parts of the lungs. Common symptoms include coughing, fever, chills, chest pain, shortness of breath, tiredness, and weakness.
