Report on the Academic Webinar “Psychological Consequences of Forced Migration”

Introduction
On Friday, 19/8/1403, an Academic webinar titled “Psychological Consequences of Forced Migration” was warmly held with the participation of over 1,000 attendees, including the university’s leadership board, and academic and administrative staff. This webinar aimed to raise awareness among the new generation of society regarding the important topic of “Psychological Consequences of Forced Migration.”
The program began with the recitation of several verses from the Holy Quran by Ms. Zahra Mirzad. The successful hosts of the program, Ms. Tamana Hamidi and Ms. Fawzia Stanikzai, warmly welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of the webinar’s subject.

Speeches
Following this, Professor Abdul-Farid Salangi, the Chancellor and Founder of the Woman Online University, welcomed the participants and provided valuable insights on the topic of the webinar.
Then, esteemed Professor Sayed Kalemullah Abed, a researcher in psychological trauma, elaborated on the webinar’s topic, covering the following key points:

• Psychological consequences of forced migration

• Forced migration refers to the process of displacement of individuals

• Types of forced migration due to religion, ethnicity, nationality, and political affiliation

• Effects of ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences)

• Intergenerational trauma due to migration

• Examining the effects of migration at the individual level

• Identity before the migration process

• Forced migration in Afghanistan for various reasons

Subsequently, esteemed Professor Sayed Kalemullah Abed addressed questions from participants, leading to a fruitful exchange of ideas.

Conclusion of the Program
At the end, Professor Adeleh Zamani, Deputy for Student Affairs at the Woman Online University and Head of the Psychology Department, summarized the program and expressed gratitude for the active participation of professors, personalities, and academic and administrative staff at the university. She emphasized the importance of continuing such programs to enhance awareness and knowledge levels.
