Introduction
On Friday, 3,12,1403, an academic webinar titled “The Struggles for Freedom in the Software World” was successfully held with the participation of over 700 attendees, including the university’s general administration, leadership team, professors, Students and both academic and administrative staff.

The program began with the recitation of several verses from the Holy Quran by Ms. Zuhra Mirzad. Following that, the successful hosts of the program, Ms. Malalay Salangi, and Ms. Mina Razi warmly welcomed everyone and emphasized the importance of the webinar’s topic.

Afterwards, Ms. Nazifa Azimi, head of the faculty of computer science at Woman Online University, welcomed everyone and provided valuable insights on the webinar’s topic.
She emphasized that while the digital landscape offers unprecedented opportunities, it also poses significant challenges. She stressed that these struggles are crucial not only for developers and users but also for overall societal advancement.

Professor Yashar Poor Muhammad, welcomed the participants and discussed the topic of the webinar, which included the following key points:

He also pointed out that those who control the platform have the ability to direct the flow of information. The platform’s algorithms are designed to push users toward emotionally charged content. As a result, individuals may feel pressured to modify their content to capture attention and be noticed, which, in turn, reinforces the power of these platforms.
