Date: 8/9/1403 corresponding to November 28, 2024 Organizer: Faculty of Law and Political Science, Woman Online University Platform: Google Meet Introduction On Thursday, 8/9/1403, an Academic webinar titled “EU Asylum Policies” was warmly held with the participation of over 1,000 attendees, including the university’s leadership team, and academic and administrative staff. This webinar was organized to enhance the awareness of the new generation of society regarding the important Topic of “EU Asylum Policies.” The program began with the recitation of several verses from the Holy Quran by Ms. Zahra Mirzad. Then, the successful hosts of the program, Ms. Khadija Mirzad and Ms. Mina Razi, warmly welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of the webinar’s topic. Speeches Following that, Professor Sohaila Erfani (Academic Deputy of woman online university, welcomed the webinar members and presented valuable insights on the topic of the webinar. Then, an introductory video about the guest speaker was played. The esteemed Professor Farhad Samim, PHD student at university of Tehran and faculty member at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Woman Online University, welcomed the webinar members, particularly Ms. Roksana Niknami. He emphasized the importance of continuing such programs to enhance awareness and knowledge levels. and provided valuable insights on EU asylum policies. Following that , Ms. Roksana Niknami, a faculty member at the Faculty of Law at Tehran University, elaborated on the webinar’s topic, which included the following key points: • The legal framework of EU asylum policy • EU admission policies • The new migration asylum policy agreement • Humanitarian support from the EU for Afghan refugees • Statistics on Afghan refugees in the EU Then Ms. Roksana Niknami answered participants’ questions, leading to a fruitful exchange of ideas. Subsequently, Professor Abdul Farid Salangi, Chancellor and Founder of Woman Online University, provided key remarks regarding asylum policies. Conclusion At the end of the program, Professor Bahara Ataye, Head of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Woman Online University, summarized the event and expressed gratitude for the active participation of faculty members, and academic and administrative staff.
