Introduction
This program was held on Thursday, 1403/7/19, with 800 participants under the title “Commemoration of World Mental Health Day,” attended by the university’s general administration, leadership team, and academic and administrative staff. The purpose of this program was to raise public awareness about the importance of mental health and its impacts on individual and social life.
The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Ms. Zahra Mirzad. The successful program moderators, Ms. Adila Nazari and Ms. Hadya Nyazi, warmly welcomed the participants, addressing the purpose of the program and emphasizing the importance of mental health in human life.
Speeches
Following that, Professor Adeleh Zamani, Deputy for Student Affairs at Woman Online University, welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of mental health in today’s society, stressing the need for attention to this issue in educational and social systems.
Then, Dr. Sharafudin Azimi spoke about mental health and its positive and negative impacts. He examined the challenges related to mental health, including stress and anxiety, as well as possible solutions for improving individuals’ mental well-being.
Then Mr. Abdul Farid Salangi, Chancellor and Founder of Woman Online University, also welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of organizing such programs to raise public awareness about mental health, appreciating the efforts of all those involved.
Subsequently, Professor Asila Hamidi, from the Faculty of Psychology at Woman Online University, shared valuable insights on mental health issues in Afghanistan.
At the end of the program, Professor Mazari Atefi, Head of the Psychology Department at Woman Online University, expressed gratitude to the guests and summarized the session, thanking the active participation of personalities, faculty members, and academic and administrative staff of the university. He emphasized the importance of continuing such programs to enhance community mental health.
